Preventive Measures

Fiber influences greatly every stage of human consumption and digestion.  It increases the bulk at the same maintains the softness of the colon content thus eliminates constipation and provides protection against any gastro-intestinal diseases.  You can start with incorporating green and leafy vegetables in your meal.  Gradually you can eat raw vegetables which are more effective and a great source of high fiber.  To give variation to your meal, you can eat fiber filled cereals like bran or natural oatmeal.  Meat can also be taken but it is recommended that you eat minimally and with fruits and vegetables with it.

Intense Colon Detox

Prior to the onset of different methods and therapies of detoxifying a colon, people rely on high fiber diet to cleanse the colon.  It has proven to be effective, safe and no risks of side-effects.  Depending on your needs, you can opt to take it every meal, with your mid-day snacks and whenever you feel like it.  For intense cleansing, a pure juice (not the processed juice) and a pysllium husk powder is a great combination.

Start your cleansing by adding 1 tablespoon of psyllium husk powder in a glass of pure juice.  It can be a carrot juice, apple juice, pineapple juice or a combination of any fruits and vegetables depending on your taste.  Take it 30 minutes before or after taking your breakfast, lunch and before going to bed.  This allows the fiber to work effectively and absorb the toxins that your cell has excreted and enables bowel movement the following day.  The psyllium husk powder thickens quickly whatever you add to it and may transform into a gelatinous quality that may give a slightly bad taste.  Drink it quickly after making the mixture.

There are other ways and methods that you can do to make your own high fiber diet.  Always keep it natural and fresh.  Keep in mind though that like any forms of cleansing diet introduced, it is always best and a must that you take as much water as you can.  The extra fluids will moisten the contents of the bowel that the psyllium has absorbed.  In addition to that, water is highly needed to prevent the body from dehydration.
