Bentonite Clay as Detoxifying Therapy
Bentonite comes from a weathered volcanic ash most often found in the presence of water. Bentonite can also be classified as another species of clay. There are different forms of bentonite, Sodium, Calcium and Potassium.
Originally, it has been used for industrial purposes. Over the years, medical researchers have discovered more and more usage from bentonite clay. Among its major discovery’s is its capacity to detoxify the human system.
Clay in itself is basically a powerful healing mineral due to its alkaline pH and high negative ionic charge. It is proven to cleanse the system by absorbing the toxins every human cell has excreted and poisons the system. Therefore, it is a must that you should naturally detoxify to rid your system of the poisonous elements that harms and slowly kills the human body. One of the highly suggested ways to detoxify is to use Bentonite Clay Therapy.
Colon Cleansing
Human poisoning is probably one of the most silent killers in the history and has taken much of its toll recently. With the onset of the processed food, synthesized medicines, caffeinated drinks and polluted environment, gradual build-up of toxic and wastes materials are formed in the system.
On the other hand, these poisonous wastes are being filtered through in the digestive system by the Colon. If there are too many unhealthy substances that clogged the colon, the body becomes too stressed and would fail in keeping the body clean. Bentonite clay because of its main ingredient, fuller’s earth, combined with its colloidal properties helps eliminate the toxins and other waste agents that are hard to digest. Here are some steps on how to use bentonite clay as your detoxifying agent.
1. For internal cleansing, bentonite clay therapy should always be taken with fiber, specifically the psyllium husk. For optimal cleansing, it is recommended that you take it at least an hour before food intake. Mix 1 tbsp. of clay and a tbsp. of psyllium husk into an 8oz. glass of water. Drink an additional glass of water few minutes after or when you feel that the concoction had been ingested by your digestive system.
2. You can start your detoxifying therapy by drinking the concoction twice each day, morning and at night. Intake is done continuously until fatigue, constipation and other symptoms of colon intoxication diminish. You can safely do bentonite clay therapy for two to three weeks, but should not be longer than a month. This should allow the colon and all the other parts of the digestive to function on their own.
3. For external cleansing, powdered bentonite clay should be used. Mix enough water to the clay to form a paste and apply the paste to the skin to help detox the pores leading to a healthier skin without blemishes. Allow to dry and rinse with warm water. You can also use powdered bentonite clay to add in your bath as part of your internal detox program. Add one cup of powdered bentonite clay to your bath and soak in it for 20 minutes each night.
