Exercise While on a Colon Cleanse Program?
Contrary to what you might have known before, a Colon Cleanse Program and exercise can be done in a single shot. While it holds true that you should not be too stressed when doing a Cleanse, there is no reason you can’t do a little bit of physical exercise as well a Colon Cleanse. Exercise makes you perspire. In one way or another, you excrete toxic substances from your body through perspiration.
Exercise accelerates the heart rate increasing the oxygen and other nutrients in our body in to the blood stream. Every output increase delivers extra oxygen and nutrient-rich blood to all our cells. This extra oxygen and nutrients restores and repair cells that have been damaged. Exercise also increases metabolism, it improves our digestion and the elimination of food wastes. Aerobic exercise tones abdominal muscles thus it is not recommended that you do strenuous exercise while doing the Colon Cleanse Program. Here are some of the exercises that you can do to achieve that body and mind Cleanse you need.
- WALKING – always remember that the intensity that you use when you exercise while Colon Cleansing should be in your “energy-level” range. It is understood that your heart-rate should not go beyond what you can handle at that moment. This is especially meant for people who chose running as their basic exercise. Take note too that every individual has a different energy-level. If you have no time to visit a physician, just take it slow.
- REBOUNDING – a non-impact aerobic exercise gained by bouncing on a mini-trampoline. It is great for Colon Cleanse because it strengthens the glandular system; increases oxygen flow in the blood; allows the diastolic phase of the heart to beat less thus conditioning and strengthening the heart muscle; increases metabolism thereby burning more calories and losing weight; enhances nerve impulses and muscle fiber so that a good sleep pattern is achieved.
- SWIMMING and CYCLING – both are great exercises for a Cleanse because they are basically gentle in nature. They are also great exercises for diaphragm or breathing which is very good for detoxing your body.
- STRETCHING – a form of exercise wherein a particular skeletal muscle is elongated to improve a muscle’s elasticity and reaffirm muscle tone. Yoga, Pilates and Martial Arts are good ways to do stretching. Of the three, yoga is more beneficial. Its different poses give internal massage to the muscles. Once muscles are massaged, lactic acids are then produced and flushed out. Lactic acids are the substance in the muscles that cause muscles to twitch and ache. Aside from being cleansed physically, stretching also relaxes the mind.
As your body temperature increases, sweating starts. Sweating is the body’s natural way to detoxify or Cleanse the unwanted waste product. Aside from doing regular exercise while your doing the Colon Cleanse Program, you can also do saunas, hot baths and steamed baths. This allows acids and other wastes to be flushed out off of our skin. Drink plenty of water while you exercise. This replenishes some liquids that your body lost while detoxifying.
Lastly, it is recommended that you exercise 20-30 minutes at least 3 times in a week. Just make sure to have a bath after you work out a sweat to remove the toxins off your skin.
