Body Cleansing Has It’s Bonuses: Healthy Glowing Skin

Here’s a few simple steps that not only help you to cleanse your body but also to achieve healthy glowing skin! Beauty, as we are taught, is in the eyes of the beholder.  Even if you have not the face of an angel, as long as you think of yourself as beautiful then you are beautiful.  It is mind over matter.  While that holds true, it is also a fact that other people take a look at you and decide whether you are beautiful or not.  Well, it is good to think you are a beauty but even better if others see your beauty physically too.

Skin is the largest organ in our body.  Since it is the largest, it is the first thing that people notice about you.  With that in mind, you have to make sure that your skin projects your personality.  If you have a skin that is dirty, for better lack of expression, people tend to stay away from you.  But, even if your skin does not have a lighter tone but it is supple and glowing with health, people are drawn to you.  Here’s how.

Body Cleansing Has Its Bonuses: Healthy Glowing Skin

  1. Drink as much as 2 – 3 liters of water on a daily basis.  Human body is composed 70% of water.  By working, salivating, tears, sweating and wetting we lose as much as 50% of it.  Replenish it by drinking more liquids.  Make sure to drink the healthy stuff though.  Take for example, if you drink coffee regularly, put a stop to it and replace it with green herbal tea.  If you are a person who cannot live without carbonated drinks in a day, you can replace it with fruit juice or puree.  If it’s water, make sure that it is clean.
  2. Have at least an ounce of soluble fats in your daily diet.  These fats make your skin supple.  Some of these healthy fats can be taken from flax, vegetable oil – preferably olive, and fish oils.  Just make sure that the fish you are eating comes from clean water.
  3. Fruits, grains and vegetables are things that you should not do without.  There are fruits like avocado that have natural oil in them.  They are rich in Vitamins A, D and E which aids in having a healthy skin tone.  Fruits, grains and vegetables have antioxidants and phytochemicals that are your body’s defense in unwanted diseases and cancer.  Do not miss out on nuts and seeds too.  They are rich in protein and iron.  Aside from their capability to make your skin aglow, they are food for the brains too to keep your mind alert and active around the clock.
  4. Your body needs to get rid of the toxic materials that make your skin unhealthy.  In that case, switch to organic foods if you have not already.  Some growers and manufacturers use pesticides, chemical fertilizers and synthetic herbicides to hasten the growth of their crops.  These chemicals are detrimental to your health.
  5. As much as possible, limit yourself from eating fast foods and junk foods.  That is why they are called junk foods because your body does not need it.  They have the highest amount of insoluble fats adding more and more to your weight.
  6. Change your lifestyle.  If you have not stopped smoking, quit now.  Smoking has nicotine.  Nicotine makes you look older and adds wrinkles to your face.  Smoking narrows down the blood vessels and clogs your pores.  Aside from that, smoking places you at the top of the list for Lung or Liver Cancer.
  7. Sleep and be energized.  Sleeping at least 8 hours a day contributes much to having a healthy and glowing skin.  While you are sleeping your skin cells relaxed and are pretty much rested too.  It is the simple secret to having a healthy glowing skin.
